Sarina Sahetya, MD MHS, is a pulmonary and critical care physician at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD. Her NIH-funded research focuses on using respiratory physiology to optimize mechanical ventilation for patients with acute respiratory failure. Clinically, she cares for critically ill patients admitted to the medical intensive care unit and oncology intensive care unit at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Dr. Sahetya received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship training at Johns Hopkins Hospital prior to joining as faculty. She subsequently earned a Masters of Health Sciences in Clinical Investigation from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
