Bio

Lieuwe Bos is a clinician scientist working in Amsterdam University Medical Center. He trained as a pulmonologist and currently is pursuing a fellowship in intensive care. Lieuwe combines his clinical work with research into precision medicine approaches to improve outcomes of patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and pneumonia. He holds a position as associate professor and co-chairs the Laboratory of Experimental Intensive Care and Anesthesiology (LEICA). His research group consisting of 10 PhD students and 1 post-doctoral researcher. Dr. Bos recently received grants from the Dutch lung foundation, ZonMW, European Respiratory Society and from the European Union. He has published more than 250 PubMed indexed articles, mainly related to ARDS.
