Bio
With nearly two decades of experience in mechanical ventilation at Toronto General Hospital’s Medical-Surgical ICU, Georgie has specialized in lung-protective strategies for patients with ARDS and those on ECMO or awaiting lung transplants. Georgie helped implement Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) to optimize PEEP settings and have led education efforts on advanced respiratory monitoring techniques, including esophageal manometry and ventilator weaning strategies.
Georgie is currently serving as a Clinical Research Respiratory Therapist, and she supports multiple studies within the PRACTICAL Platform. As the lead respiratory therapist, Georgie oversees protocol education and implementation, resource development, and site onboarding / training.
