Dr. Yarnell is an intensivist and researcher interested in improving management of critically ill patients. He completed clinical training in internal medicine and critical care medicine, followed by a PhD in clinical epidemiology, at the University of Toronto. Current research interests include acute respiratory failure and the decision to intubate, electrolyte replacement protocols, Bayesian and heterogeneity of treatment effect analyses, the social determinants of health in critical illness, and informatics to support research studies.
