Bio
Dr. Ary Serpa Neto is a Brazilian intensivist and researcher working as the Senior Research Fellow at ANZIC-RC, Monash University. He holds a PhD in Pulmonology from the University of São Paulo and a second PhD (cum laude) in anaesthesiology and intensive care from the University of Amsterdam. Dr. Serpa Neto is well known for his research on critical care medicine, particularly in the areas of mechanical ventilation, sepsis, and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). In addition to his research, Dr. Serpa Neto is also involved in medical education and has trained many physicians in critical care medicine and mentored MSc and PhD students. He has over 350 peer-reviewed publications, $20 million of research grants and an H index of 54.
