Dr Boyle is an Academic Clinical Lecturer in Intensive Care Medicine at Queen’s University Belfast, and an Intensive Care Medicine specialty trainee within Northern Ireland. He has undertaken training in intensive care medicine in Northern Ireland and Australia, whilst his research interests include acute respiratory distress syndrome, including the use of precision medicine approaches to therapy, and ventilator-induced lung injury.
